Heck, not just in the cult video business. You should see how many of the whacked out crowd try to get involved in our project, even some outright criminals, and then there are the other predators out to cause trouble for various reasons. It's getting to be a bad country to have much exposure to the public in, but in some cases you don't have much choice. I can really understand why some film people get paranoid. Too bad about the ISV though. We need sources for more of the hard to find stuff. It really all belongs in the library of congress so it can be preserved. We lose far too many films that just vanish into nothingness.

I've definitely met a full range of personalities in my corner of the entertainment industry...I can easily say that he is one of the more memorable I've spoken with. He was ALWAYS in a great mood, very friendly, and had a new story each time I called. I don't mean to make it sound like we were best buds or something...I only spoke with him a dozen or so times, but he had a way of making you feel like you were an old friend that he was excited to hear from...It's easy to see why everyone loved the old perv. That definitely includes me.

Same thing applied to various crew people. The ones who were solid were very cool, the hacks were a pain all around.

Oh I know, you should see all the shining new religious brainwashing tripe they have in our local system yet anything scientific or factual is years out of date. " i totally agree, there is nothing wrong with borrowing Ideas from other directors, just look a Akira Kurosawa and George Lucas. It just annoys the hell out of me when people dont recognize, the fact that hes borrowing from other directors PS what really annoys the hell out of me, about the guy, is the Tarantino present's film line. At times, one can be hard pressed to find the actuel directors name on the film. Though in the long run, it does help expose these films to a larger audience

Tarantino's genious is what he borrows from others. I like the films he makes, but I'm so tired of the hype of his "genious". He's great at combining film genres like an artist doing photo collage, but he's far from being an originator in the way that directors like Orson Welles, Alfred Hitchcock, John Waters and Russ Myer were. I used to work in movie advertisements many years ago and I met Russ Myer when he was in town promoting the cinema re-release of Faster Pussycat, as the ad agency I worked at was promoting it. He was cool, I got his autograph too.
