Re: b movies that are underground
Tue, October 19, 2004 - 2:11 AMWell, there's that damn movie about the people in the weird survivalist underground base, and they're trapped down there by killer bats in the lift shaft, but I can't remember the darn title.
Sorry.
The second and third Matrix movies had some people underground. They did dancey-dance and had sexy-sex. It was fun.
Eight-Legged Freaks has a lot of underground stuff. Maybe that's cheaper to shoot? -

Re: b movies that are underground
Sun, February 27, 2005 - 8:33 AMThe one with the bats in the nuke shelter is called CHOSEN SURVIVORS. I've never seen it because it seems impossible to find.

Re: b movies that are underground
Tue, October 19, 2004 - 12:48 PM'The Andromeda Strain' - features a top secret underground base for containing and studying extraterrestrial or otherwise unfamiliar viruses. The techies are not permitted to leave, and 98% of the film takes place inside the complex.

Re: b movies that are underground
Tue, October 19, 2004 - 3:01 PMAnybody remember the name of this...? I know it aired on HBO umpteen times. It may have been an HBO original movie, or just an episode of Hitchhiker...
Several stereotypes from the '80s agree to live together in some kind of high-tech bomb shelter. I only remember the Daryl Hannah lookalike and her skeevy producer boyfriend who never took off his Wayfarers. I think they stood to win prize money. And one by one they get eliminated - murdered, if memory serves. Ultra cheap production. -

Re: b movies that are underground
Wed, October 20, 2004 - 7:13 AMTwo of my favs are Shatter Dead (great original zombie flick with zero budget) Sub Rosa Studios
Everyone who dies becomes a zombie no matter what in this flick and it makes for some great scenerios. Some bad acting here but overall its a great flick and the gun scene has to be seen to be beleived.
Scrapbook (another sub rosa release)
This no budget flick is about a serial killer and his last victim sorta and i thought it was great.
if you can handle no budget flicks and like original ideas then check both of these out. -

Wed, October 20, 2004 - 7:15 AMoops did not read the whole thread LOL
Hmm underground movies well there is CHUD about the underground humanoid dwellers
and one of the planet of apes has some of them living underground with big white vieny skin
and a great flick called mindwarp with angus scrim where everyone lives underground hooked up to these computers instead of living a real life. very good little flick.

Re: b movies that are underground
Wed, October 20, 2004 - 8:30 AMthere was a Paul Bartel film called, I think, Shelf Life. It was essentially a filmed version of a stage play. It was about a family that has been living in a bomb shelter since the Bay of Pigs. very fine indie film from the late great Bartel. I don't think this is available in any official capacity, unfortunately...

Re: b movies that are underground
Wed, October 20, 2004 - 11:13 AMIn 'War Gods of the Deep,' Vincent Price lords over a city of outcast humans and giant amphibians under the seabed - which is technically underground and under water both. -

Re: b movies that are underground
Sun, February 27, 2005 - 9:49 AMThis doesn't count as it is a book, but James Herbert's DOMAIN would make an excellent film. It's technically third in his "Rats" trilogy but would stand alone fine... I don't think anyone wants to remember DEADLY EYES anyway.
